I really enjoyed all the comments on my lasts posts -- gotta love that Dr. John marathon traffic! High 5 to Cindra, who wanted to eat the first image. Love that!

Thanks, guys, for all the very creative comments!

Entirely too much voting this week. The U. S. Government! Dancing With the Stars! Whew -- I'm exhausted!

Congrats to my pal, Lynette Clay who has recently started selling her gorgeous art on eBay. Good luck, Lynette!

While I should have been sleeping last night, I was awake and watching "Shall We Dance". This sweet, fun, and inspiring movie stars Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, and Susan Sarandon (plus a handful of other really likeable characters). What a pleasant way to invest a couple of my "insomnia" hours.

Now, I'm craving a good Waltz (or a hot Tango)!

Break's over -- it's back to work for me. Today, I'm working on wire and iridescent glass suncatchers/ornaments. Sometimes, I'm too inspired for my own good!

Has anyone seen my round nose pliers? If you've guessed that I'm sitting here twisting rebar tie wire by hand, you're right! Sometimes, I'm too disorganized for my own good!

  1. Oooo, Pretty colours. That first one feels like it's moving, and the second one I can't escape from, aarrggh!

Hey don't get sore fingers now!! The suncatcher/ornament thing sounds wonderful.

  2. Second one reminds me of an old fashion glass Christmas tree ornament.

  4. Lovee the colors. I will give you the advise my grandson gives. Stop and think where were you using it last. Trace back your steps. Please don't hurt your fingers.

  5. W.J. these are so gorgeous, love the glowing colors and 3-d look of your hearts! Thanks for the mention about my ebay adventures. Hey I will join you with the being disorganized traits. This evening I was trying to get one ready to mail and I can't begin to tell you how many times I lost my scissors, tape and inkpen, arrrgh it's frustrating. I hope you found those pliers by now. Did you look on top of the refrigerator? :D

  6. wow, lovely hearts! I love both of them! Well, talking about disorganized, you are not alone. In addition to that, I'm absent-minded as well. I remembered once I threw my comb into rubbish bin and then trying to look around for it! :)

  8. You folks keep your pliers in the strangest places!! lol
    ;)

They are in that box of miscellaneous junk in the understairs cupboard. Of course!

  10. The first one looks like the bottom of my bedroom slipers and the second like the last valentine I gave my wife. Can't hep you with the pliers. I got a carrying thing for mine and put all my wrenchs and pliers in it along with all my screw drivers. The only problem is I can't remember where I put the case and I am afraid my wife packed it up for our move.

  12. Hi, Snoo! I think you're just having a touch of vertigo! The sore fingers, sadly, were a foregone conclusion.

  13. Guess what, Starbender? The pliers are so not there!

  14. Thanks, for the good advice, Betty! Ouch!

  15. Glad you enjoy the hearts, Lynette! I love doing them.

Isn't it "aarrgh!" when you're sitting in one place, using those scissors and tape, and you still manage to misplace them? I have a theory: those items are just slipping in and out of an Alternate Universe.

See, it's not really your fault!

There's a set of collectible movie cups and some celesital candlesticks on top of my fridge, but, alas, no pliers!

  16. Thanks, Fenn! I've got a great visual of you rooting through the trash bins for your comb! The mind is a dangerous thing!

  17. Thank you kindly, Jafa! There's a vintage doily and a small, silver tray on top of the toilet tank, but the pliers continue to elude me!

  18. Snoo!! Alas, my hobbit-scaled dwelling contains neither stairs or basement, so -- nope!

  19. Hi, Dr. John! You must have stepped in something very pretty while wearing your bedroom slippers! I'm pleased to hear that you gift your lovely wife with Valentine's Day cards -- though I'm not surprised to hear it.

You know what they say -- "Packed pliers are the same as no pliers!"

  20. Thank you, Sandy, a vaulable lesson, indeed!

I've learned that pliers are like food -- if you can't get them when you want them, forget about them and move on!

  21. Hehe I love your 'alternate universe' theory!! And I dread wrapping Christmas presents this year because those scissors and tape must be sucked into that unknown realm at least 10 times when I'm doing that chore! Thanks for the e-mail with the link about people having the same name. It's a weird feeling to know there are 11 'me's' running around in the U.S. with my same first and last name! Hope you found those pliers by now!
