The Backstory -

s, I certainly do have the audacity to dip into the Da Vinci pool. Again. (See this previous post.)

Three nights ago, while immersed in the 2 a.m. showing of "Da Vinci's Inquest", which tends toward the dark and ambiguous, I was struck with sudden inspiration.

I've already alluded to having a 'thing' for Leonardo Da Vinci's flying machine wing structure, which can still be seen here, and "Da Vinci's Night" clearly reflects that.

After two l-o-n-g days obsessing over details -- the sky? the stars? more color? less color? scale? -- this image exists, finally, exactly as it was meant to be.
