oh love it. I used to LOVE flying dreams, but the last few I was too heavy to get off the flipping ground much. arg!!! Oh well, if I saw this sky here I would be getting me cup of tea and sitting on the doorstep to watch it.
I never had a flying dream until two years ago. Flying is, supposedly, one of the most common dream "themes" and I always felt like I was missing something. Suddenly, I was having at least one a week for a couple of months. Then, just as suddenly, they stopped! Haven't had one since . . .
On the day of this particular sky, there was no tea and nary a doorstep to be found. Actually, I was standing in the middle of a big parking lot on a bright sunny morning, and spent about two minutes shooting every visible inch of these big, puffy clouds!
I think my 'sky dreams' recently, have to do with my being glued to NASA TV and watching so much of the recent space shuttle mission. I would LOVE to be part of a space mission!
I don't sleep much, but I've always remembered many of my dreams. Of course, I know there are some I don't remember -- which makes me wonder whether I'm missing something amazing!
W.J. I love looking at the sky too and the night sky is so magical I never get tired of looking up there! I sent you something in the mail today with lots of bubblewrap. :)
I think what I most like about the sky, is that it reminds me that I'm on a planet, floating through the cosmos. That I'm not just anchored to the ground . . .
how beautiful...it reminds me of how sweet it all looked from the airplane...
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the images that you post! I love sky-scapes too...something very dreamy about this one.

ReplyDeleteLovely. I did dream of flying away from where I am (always when I'm in some sort of low mood though....)

ReplyDeleteIt's like the sky you see when you close your eyes and remember a dream or a memory.
Great stuff recently. Hope your well.
Thank you, Chana,
ReplyDeleteI see your head is still in the clouds . . . I'm glad you have so many good memories of your trip!
Thanks, Cynthia! I'm a sky-freak from way back! I prefer the night sky, but my camera prefers daytime!

Hey, Karen,
ReplyDeleteI'll have you know I'm a card-carrying insomniac -- I don't nap! (Wish I did, though.)
Have you seen the previews for "Jericho"? I can't wait! (Had to throw that in; the preview was just on and I know you LOVE some TV!)
