~ Past Pieces
Coming soon to Art166.com!

* * *

"Past Pieces" reminds me of the countless hours I spent sitting on the hardwood floor of my grandmother's bedroom, making like Indiana Jones with her quilting "scrap bag".

The colors! The textures! The stories!

Did any 5-year-old ever have more fun?

P.S. This actual piece is designed to be printed BIG, but I think you can get some sense of it here. Don't forget to click for a larger view.

I'm working on a special post for Monday's blog. It's one of those "how I spent my day" posts that has gotten completely out of control. In the meantime, I'll do a "fly by" post, everyday, for the next few days.

Enjoy the pics!

Here are words I doubted I'd every speak again:

"Today, there's a chill in the air."

Really, there is! And, there are actual clouds accompanied by a refreshing breeze!

Yesterday, we hit our usual 90+ degree (F) temp. Today's high is predicted to be a breezy, wonderful, 68 degrees -- Christmas in October!

Snoo, welcome back!!

  1. LOL, I did the same thing, moved my computer into the tv room. I edit a little, write a little, watch a little. It all gets done!

  2. There you go, Kat -- TV viewing has made us smart enough to find a way to do more TV viewing!

  4. Thanks for your comments on my blog - dr John is, as we say in the UK, a star! Like the discerning approach to tv watching here, don't seem to be able to keep up with all my series watching at the moment, must be too much working, or blogging, or something.

  7. I don't watch a whole lot of TV...but it's not really convenient! Plus, my husband refuses to get cable, so it's all fuzzy anyway! : (

  8. At this time our computers and TV don't mix but Dr john failed to say he does have a lap top which he uses as he watches TV.

  9. Oh yea we LOVE our TV LOL, me included! When I'm on the computer near the doorway of the kitchen, I turn the TV sideways so I can watch and listen to it. W.J. I didn't see "The Nine", what's it about? We watched "Deal or No Deal tonight". I love that gorgeous silvery sky and I see an angel with her wings spread in there!

  11. Normally I have the news or HGTV on just for noise. But I drew the line on HGTV when a scrapbooking program came on. Sorry scrappers, it is just not my thing.

  15. I took another look at this one and think it is my very favorite. Digital quilt, I love it!!!!

I have dropped my cell in the loo before (long story), and it too survived the dunking.
