~ Estate Sale Tales - The Digital Chapters
Chapter 3
The spirited owner of these treasures (who was deep into her 90s when she passed on) seemed to have a fondness for dishware -- much as I do. This gorgeous, gold-trimmed, white china was just one of several carefully-kept sets I had the opportunity to shoot during the Estate Sale walk through.
For reasons I haven't quite deciphered (yet), the original photo, above, was one of my favorite captures of the day.
I've never had any interest in owning a set of china -- until I fell in love with these plates, cups and assorted lovelies. The artwork is coming easy for these, and in unexpected variety. There are several different photos of this set, and I can't glance at them without images and ideas popping into my head.
Like last weeks 'red' dishware, this image source will not soon run dry. Which is, indeed, a very good thing!
These are gorgeous! You do so many amazing things with your photographs. I have two favorites in this post, the second picture that looks like a metal disk and the really colorful one. The colorful one looks almost like it has ancient symbols hidden within it. Love that!
ReplyDeleteKim :)
I can see you are having a wild time with these. Talk about the reincarnation of a china dish.
ReplyDeleteWow Wendy, what gorgeous photography you do and then you turn those photos into artistic treasures like these! I love the one with the dripping ruby and heart and the others are gorgeous too!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing what you can do with a picture of dishes.
ReplyDeleteAmazing indeed! Just wish I could have had the imagination in turning photos into digital magic like yours. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm shocked that this is all from the same picture. Bravo!
