Thursday? Already?

I had such high hopes for this week's adventures in blogging. That is, until I realized that in two days I'm swapping out a dozen pieces in my local "real world" exhibit. Also, I've signed up for two Arts & Craft fairs within the next 30 days. I can't help myself!

So, instead of blogging, surfing, and indulging in my other low-stress Internet activities, I'm printing, cutting, matting, framing, designing and assembling my heart out!

The good news? (There always has to be good news --) The last time I was in such a creative frenzy, back in early September, the temperature in my studio/kitchen hovered at 100 degrees F and higher. Today, that room will measure a moderate 76-82 degrees. That's far from my preferred 65-70 degree comfort zone, but a world away from the sweltering, endless misery of the last six months. Whew!

I'll pop in here as time permits (I can only stay away so long), and should be on a more regular posting schedule by the end of November. I'm working on some great, unusual (of course!) pieces for the upcoming fairs. I'll show some of them off as they're completed.

I'm offering 8"x10", 5"x7", 2.5" x 3.5" (ACEOs) and smaller, art prints for sale at the fairs (one of which will be held on a college campus). I'm open to suggestions as to which of my pieces (Art166.com) you think would be most appealing in these small sizes.

The dates for these fairs are November 10th & 20th and I'm hoping for nice, cool weather. We certainly don't have to worry about unexpected snowfall, but that would be so amazing!

Friday's Drive-by Post

Today, already, I've had a gi-normous asthma attack, dropped my telephone into a bucket of dirty water, and made a critical math error while constructing a shipping carton for this piece, which was supposed to go out in this morning's mail.

All this on about 3 hours' sleep.

Woe is me.

In better news, a local Good Samaritan (one Mr. Tony Mack) was in a grocery store parking lot when he spotted a man on a bicycle attempting to carjack a frightened looking woman.

When the bicycling bad-boy attempted to escape, Mr Mack pursued him, knocked him right off his getaway two-wheeler, tied the perp up with a shoelace, and brought him back to the scene of the crime, restraining him until the arrival of San Antonio's Finest.

The victim identified the suspect (who won't be winning the Tour de France anytime soon), and the hapless suspect has already confessed.

Kudos, Mr. Tony Mack! The human race needs more, just like you!
