Introducing a new line of greeting cards, "Suitable for Framing!"
- coming, very soon, to my
Art166 "Small Works" Shop.

*

Me, and my bright ideas . . .

As if my schedule weren't already a logistical nightmare, I've been working on some abstract designs for greeting cards, which will be available in my Art166 "Small Works" Shop (hopefully, in the next day or two). Of course, I'll offer more traditional designs, too; but, it's the colorful abstracts that kept me awake last night!

More on these, when they're available!

Thank you for all the positive feedback on the new "Profondo Rosso" pieces! I've been urged by a friend to get more of them offered for sale, so I think I'll be doing that, this weekend. I'd hate to get hit by a bus, or something, and not have the rest of this collection out in the world!

Dr. John, thanks for making Art166 part of your marathon blog tour, yesterday. I enjoyed seeing all the new faces that stopped by!

  10. W.J. I was just looking at your incredible works in your small shop again and I was wondering if you'll be offering any at the ACEO or art squared little sizes? Those seem to be hot sellers too lately. Your work is gorgeous!

  12. Hi, Cynthia, and thanks very much!

I love that woven effect, and use it a LOT. Sometimes, though, it just blends into the other effects and you'll only see bits of it peeking through. It'll be fun to use it, blatantly, like this!

  13. I hope it's an idea that works, Lynette! I'm so used to thinking in "large-format" terms; I'm looking forward to designing these smaller pieces! One things for sure -- It'll be a long time before I purchase another "commercially created" greeting card!

Ooh, and I found the most gorgeous paper stock . . .

  14. Thank you, Annette! It's hard to choose, isn't it? I plan to offer some 'multi-card sets' that include a variety of styles. I figure if I can't choose between them, buyers may not be able to, either. This way, they won't have to!

  15. Snap out of it, TC!

    There, all better . . .

I wonder if I could have made you cluck like a chicken?

  16. Thank you, fennymun; nice of you to make a return visit!

I can't resist circular shapes! Round forms seem easier on my eyes, somehow, and I think they have a positive effect on my brainwaves! Hmm, think I'll do some research and see if there's any truth to that.

  18. Oh, Dr. John! Now you're claiming that I'm the source of your dizziness???

    Betty, I'm completely innocent!

  19. Me too, Karen!

I've been thinking about it, for a while. The Etsy shop seems the perfect venue for cards. Time will tell . . .
