Coming soon to

Red is my favorite color. Regular visitors to this blog have probably already figured that out. :)

Today, for your viewing pleasure (ahh, positive thinking!), here are three very red images, all created from a single, original source file. A fabulous sort of Digital Recycling System!

These images will be part of my new "Profondo Rosso" gallery, soon to be found at

With any luck, I'll spend the weekend updating the website -- sidelining some old work, posting some new, and, by Monday, will be ready to sell, sell, sell!

Yep, that's even more positive thinking!

A BIG welcome to all the new visitors who've stopped by over the last several days! Also, thanks to all of you for keeping me company during my very wheezy week!

Beautiful work, as always. Keep positive. I'm looking forward to seeing the site.
    Happy Friday!

  2. Thanks, Tammi! And a Happy Friday to you, too!

  3. Very lovely, fluid reds. Reminds me of mulled wine, don't ask me why, I don't know. Guess its the warmth that the colour generates?

PS hope you're feeling a lot better soon.

  4. You do red gorgeously W.J.! I hope you're feeling better too. This trio of reds is awesome!

  5. how beautiful your pictures are...redish/orangish is my favorite colour so these pics are a treat for the eyes...thank you..

i'm fairly new to your wonderful blog so i must go back and read some old posts as it sounds like you aren't feeling the best...your comment was full of thoughtfullness and kindness and i thank you truthfully for it...your positive thoughts were received gratefully i may add and they did their job for today was a much better day...may you too find some relief and peace soon my sweet...take care and read you again asap...hugs and love to you..

  6. I had my grfandaughter look at today's pictures and she saw things I would never see. She saw fish, and bubbles. She saw a bird. She saw things moving . I wish I could see again like a child. I enjoyed the pictures even more with her help.

  7. Great!

I love red, too (as you've probably guessed by looking at my blog). :D

  8. Wow so much amazing stuff WJ!!

I love "Liquid Stone", and those fractal images, oh and those windows below as well.

Red is such an powerful colour! Each one of these has such a different feeling. Fantastic!!

  9. I LOVE the red ones! Red is also my fave color. I was posting, but had to go back and look at them to try and pick my favorite, but it's impossible to do. I like all of three.

  10. RED! of course!! my new goal is to have something red in every room. glad you are feeling better. it's a rainy sunday here, so I hope to get some computer work done, too. I seriously need to back my photos up!

  11. your art is red
    my art is blue
    between us both
    we create a hullabaloo

okay, I am not the greatest poet.

Love the red, first one looks like a totem.

  12. Thanks, Johnny! I very much like your comparison to mulled wine. Red wine is such a rich, vital substance; I believe art should feel the same.

    Hi, Lynette!
Thanks, so much! I love the color so much, it's hard not to feel inspired when I'm working with it!

  13. Hi, Chana! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the red images! It's certainly my pleasure to share them with anyone who'll stop and take a look!

I hope you're feeling better, and found some time to enjoy the weekend. I'm feeling much better, after seriously altering my meds. Sometimes, you just have to take things into your own hands -- even if you don't have a medical degree!

Here's to a new and better week, for all of us!

  14. Dr. John!

Admittedly, I'm a sentimental sap, and the idea of you sharing my images with your granddaughter made me just a little misty-eyed.

Kids are great, aren't they? They see and feel everything! I'm not sure I'd be very creative if I weren't afflicted with a healthy dose of Peter Pan Syndrome!

It's wonderful that you had a clever little 'guide' to walk you through these fantasyscapes.

Thanks for sharing that with us!

  15. Thanks, TC!
Yep, I had noticed your appreciation of RED! Great minds, and all that!

Welcome back! The old place just hasn't been the same without you!

You didn't miss much; I haven't been incredibly productive, of late. However, I'm on my feet again (such as they are) and ready to jump into a new and (hopefully!) exciting week!

    Hope you enjoyed your trip!

  16. Hi, Cynthia!

I've read that BLUE is the most popular color in the world. What the heck are those 3.5 billion people thinking???

I'm glad you couldn't pick a favorite; I appreciate that they're all favored, in their own right! Thank you!

RED! Most certainly! Well, I don't have something red in every room, but since the Red Room is the first one you see, it has the greatest impact. People are asonished by it. What's up with that???

I wish it were rainy, here, instead of creeping towards the high '90s. Enjoy your day!

  17. Jafa! Wanna hear something funny? When I first read your poem, I read this:

    your art is red
    my art is blue
    between us both
    we create a hallucination

You may not be the greatest poet, but I'm obviously hallucinating! Go figure!

Yep, I didn't notice the "totem" resemblance until I had a print made. I actually considered creating a few more faces and turning him into a totem, but was too lazy to actually do it. That's where he got his name:

ONE Beaker Brother! Hope he's not lonely!

  18. With all that howling at the moon no wonder you are hallucinating ;) what a great place to be.

  19. Red is definately you ~ and such a positive colour :)

  20. Hope you had a good wknd. GLad that you are feeling better...hugs and squeezes...

  21. Fantastic stuff! Somehow these are even more powerful than most; must be the red which is one of my faves as well.

  22. Sandy, Chana, & JM

So sorry it took me so long to respond to you guys, but, things have been a little crazy, here! All back to normal craziness, now!

Thanks, so much for your comments on the recent "Red" postings - I love that they've received such positive reactions!

Hi there: I saw your art at yessy, and came here just to tell you personally how lovely I find your works. I posted a link to several folks, hopefully you'll get the benefit thereof. I work in a different medium, acrylic on canvas or glass or textiles, and I love color too. I'll be back!
