___________

The Backstory -

Back in the early days, when this blog was just a cold and lonely void, I posted several more of this group of images and relayed the obligatory backstory. Read it, and view the accompanying images, here.

This unlikely tale involves a strange man, a desperate woman, and at least one potentially deadly implement.

Really! Today's quiz, below, might explain that:

Your Quirk Factor: 62%

You're so quirky, it's hard for you to tell the difference between quirky and normal.
No doubt about it, there's little about you that's "normal" or "average."

  2. If you hadn't of said what that was, i never would have guessed. Strange looking thing.

Kind of regal in an alien kind of way. Actually the more i look at them, the more alien and the more regal they get. Night Air is pretty, but I like Angelica more. It almost looks like you could walk into it. Drawn by the light, entranced by the pulsing glow and throbbing noise. And you realize too late that you are trapped, held in the trance. Hmmmmm.

    I'm 45% quirky.
"You're a pretty quirky person, but you're just normal enough to hide it.
Congratulations - you've fooled other people into thinking you're just like them!"
    Ha-ha!!

  4. Morning (er, afternoon), Snoo!

You're a genius! (A quirky genius, but still . . .) If I ever get a chance to display "Angelica", maybe I can add an alien, throbbing noise. It would make for a killer piece of performance art.

By the way, you didn't fool me . . .

  7. Snoo,

Are you talking about your comment re: my comment re: your "Freedom" post? Don't change a thing. I greatly appreciate your honesty and understanding, and you know you have mine.

We're both chronically "off our game" in one way or another -- you're right, it's nice to have a kindred ear. Drop me a line, here: http://www.yessy.com/art166/contact.html

I just might do that - contact you.

See! Now I've even got you guys talking about aliens.

Before you know it, you'l all be wearing tinfoil helmets and humming strange chants.

BTW cool designs - I really like 'Night Air'. That's one to meditate to, like a mandala...if I could focus for five minutes, that is!

  12. Sleepless Dream,

Would it be irredeemably obtuse of me to say, "Huh?"

Feel free to contact me here: http://www.yessy.com/art166/contact.html

    with a little clarification.

    Thanks for popping in!

  13. Hey, TC,

I've always talked about aliens! I used to terrify my younger half-brothers by telling them my father was an alien who'd been called back to his home planet! However, I look dreadful in tinfoil, so that's just not gonna happen. I'll risk the mind-scan! And, I NEVER hum -- it makes me sneeze!

Thanks for the comment on "Night Air"!

  14. LOL I'm pretty quirky. W.J. you made some of the most beautiful images from that lamp over the dentist's chair, wow just amazing. I remember reading about how you got the photos and I am thinking "What a creative person this is, now this is what it means to be an artist"! I've been in that chair too and yikes it's a scary feeling LOL but darn those lights are interesting hehe. ... the gorgeous art you made from those photos are mindboggling beautiful!
