___________
I only slept for two hours, but managed to oversleep enough to miss my Friday garbage pick-up. I'm wheezy and sneezy and having salad croutons and a cup of Earl Grey for breakfast.
The day can only improve . . .
i love your work!
ReplyDeleteOMG you have scary ass cows in Texas!! Seriously, what's up with that?!!
ReplyDeleteSunday lace is beautiful, reminds me of the patterns you get in ice, or something floating on water. It's lovely.
May your days be (merry and bright? No that's not it!) filled with lungfulls of clean easy breathing air. May your nights be peaceful and resting.
Thanks, for the great comment, Christine! Glad you stopped by!
ReplyDeleteSnoo!
ReplyDeleteI know, right?
I don't know what the heck they are! Some kind of cross-breed, maybe? I grew up in Wisconsin and there are a billion cows up there (umm, cheese!), but I've never seen these. They totally freak me!
May my days be what??? I must have dozed off! It's Christmas, already!
A friend of mine sees those cows coming home from the tavern.
ReplyDeleteI love the lace it remimds me of my gramdmother's crocheting.
Well I think your cows are very beautiful. I think they just look scary because of the big black rings around their eyes! :0 :)
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, Dr. John, but your friend's cows are, most likely, being viewed with chemical assistance. My cows, on the other hand, have not been altered or enhanced in any way.
ReplyDeleteReally!
Wha'dya mean, "You don't believe me." Would I lie about a thing like that???
Thanks, Lynette, but they really are spooky!
ReplyDeleteThey're tall and kinda bony, with brindle-marked pelts? hides? coats??? Some are more red, or more brown, or darker. The white masks vary from face to face -- some with the rings around the eyes, some without, and some that look as if they just got in the way of some thrown paint!
Totally freakazoidial!
What is the matter with me, I don't think the cows looks spooky at all. They look really cool. Hum maybe I should stop taking those purple pills.
ReplyDeleteSunday lace: reminds me of snowflakes made out of trees.
ReplyDeleteAs fot the cows, they are showing a little attitude. Not scary but then again they might be face-to-face.
Jafa, oh, there's no denying they're very cool -- like the Island of Dr. Moreau was cool . . .
ReplyDeleteIn case you didn't see my answer to your question on my blog, my daughter, who is studying animal science in college, my husband and I took a committe vote on the likely breed of your unlikely cows and came up with brahman crossed with something else, maybe simmmental, or limousine with maybe a touch of longhorn thrown in. Neat cows!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tammi! "Sunday Lace" is the very top of the 80+-year-old pecan tree in my back yard. I was out there, trying to track down the woodpecker that's been waking me up recently, when I looked up and thought, "Hmmm..."
ReplyDelete"Attitude." Yeah, that's the word I was looking for!
Thanks, threecollie! I left a response to your response at your place!
ReplyDeleteHey There! Thank you for the recent visit & kind words re: the hard drive.
ReplyDeleteA lovely site you have here - I have bookmarked it in order to return & explore in greater detail later.
But, your work with these cows simply arrested my vision, so I must comment.
For me it is akin to wandering off the expressway into "the wrong neighborhood", rounding a corner & meeting...trouble, big trouble. Hahah!
Cheers!
Thanks for stopping by, B!
ReplyDeleteBig trouble, indeed! Your comment made me laugh out loud! The problem is, "big trouble" never prevented me from grabbing my camera and leaving the relative safety of the truck!
More fool me!
